...Not wanting to 'mess up' my vintage cloth - I decided to make a proper pattern and even a prototype of Nanny's vintage apron - I started with a piece of recycled packing paper - still crinkled from the package it came in...
...so I ironed that out nice and flat...
...I laid the poor little tattered vintage apron on it to trace around it...
...but wait - it's not quite symmetrical...
...so I traced the pattern in pencil - making it symmetrical, of course...
...then I traced over the pencil lines with a sharpie - and there you have it a perfect pattern of Nanny's vintage apron...
