...Scout Closet Clean-out...

...the Scouts met in the morning to clean out their closet at the church where they meet...

...you wouldn't believe how much stuff was crammed in that little space...

...the closet is almost empty...it must have been a bomb shelter at one time...see the sliding lead door...weird...

...the Scoutmaster found some 'things' and passed them out to the boys by letting them choose which hand...Scout got a flint striker (for starting fires) and a pocket knife...of course the boys who skipped cleanout day missed out...

...at the end of the day (we were done before noon)...there were several piles of un-needed things...and the Scoutmaster let the boys choose by rank the things that they wanted...

...Scout chose an awesome old trunk (it'll get it's own post later)...an old army sleeping bag (it needs some patching and a good wash - it smells pretty musty - but Scout wanted it for layering during the next 40 below campout)...and two old army stuff (or duffle) bags...also in need of a good wash...

...have a great weekend!...
