...Scout Sunday...

...yesterday was Scout Sunday at Church...so I sewed on another Merit Badge...only three more requireds until Eagle...
...and I had to hem up Scout's trousers again...these are the same ones from North Dakota...he doesn't get any bigger around...he just keeps getting taller...
...and Scout did a wonderful job with the readings...he read the Psalm and the Second Reading...which is near and dear to my heart:

...from Corinthians 13...
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

...we had that reading at our wedding...I think almost everyone does...did you?

~Have a lovely day!

  1. you know we didn't!! we only had the 5 minute "get 'er dun" Baptist wedding vows....he knew there wouldn't be any booze at the reception, so he wanted it brief!! haha

good job, Scout! looking forward to seeing you get Eagle! has he chosen a project yet?

    love, k

  2. We're trying to decide on readings for our wedding right now, and have decided NOT to go with that one, because everyone else does it!

Karen, I sympathize with the "get 'er dun" approach, my fiance is a lapsed Baptist and is like "Why is there SO much reading in an Episcopal service?!" :D

  3. I can't remember, how shameful! I know we had 'Lead us Heavenly Father Lead us'.

From whatever view that piece holds truth.
