...W.I.P. Wednesday...a little more work on the bathroom...

...ok...this was like a 5 month project...it shouldn't have been...but it was...

...I know I've complained before about how we only have 45 minutes or so on any given day that we can devote to this project...and it's a messy one...so spread those minutes out over all the days that we've worked on it...and it's been...well...months...

...but now...all of the wallpaper is off the walls...you can see there's quite a bit of damage to the sheetrock paper as well...so we're moving on the the next step...a skim coat of spackling over the entire wall...

...the Man wanted to do some sort of 'texture' to avoid this step...but with the two different types of tile and the wood and (some sort of) countertop...yet to be determined...I was worried that there would be too much texture in the room...so we'll do like we did in the little bathroom downstairs...and have smooth walls...
...in case you've forgotten the 1960s wallpaper that was there...glued directly to the drywall with no sizing or priming...

~Have a lovely day!

  1. I've always heard three times as long and twice as much money to finish a project. Thankfully, it's not the other way 'round -grin-.
