...Trunk or Treat...

...have you ever been to a Trunk-or-Treat?...
...I spent part of the afternoon decorating the trunk...I had a pumpkin theme going...
...Callie was very a curious cat...
...the front of the house...just the regular same old decorations from years past...the 16 year old posterboard witch is still there...she's just hard to see in the daylight...
...then we went over to the Church...decorations were done...
...and snacks were prepared...
...a lot of the grown ups were in costume too...
...treat bags were filled...
...and cauldrons were bubbling...
...there was a witch's hut...
..maybe a little bit scary...
...trunks were opened...
...and trunk-or-treaters started to arrive...we had about 75 neighborhood kids in all...a pretty good turnout...and lots of adults too...
...the doggies got in on the fun too...
...but some of them didn't like the props too well...
...costumed kids playing on the playground...
...and playing games inside...
...it was a lot of fun...
...HAPPY HALLOWEEN!...

  1. I've never Trunk or Treated, but that is how they did it on base where Emerson lives and
I guess in this day and time it makes sense. She went to her Dad's place of work on the
    base.
    Have a great week.

  3. I think trunk or treat looks good fun. We had our elderly skeleton and a new pumpkin sign. I made a ghost and we were ready! The residents association had a list of people happy to see children for Trick or Treat and we saw lots of visitors. Funny, a mum from just down the road came during the day to see if we were happy to see her daughter and friend. She had with her two bags of sweets with two small oranges. I said we were loaded with sweeties and added that we had no fruit. 'Oh', she said 'I only put those in so you wouldn't think I was a bad mother'. Oh the insecurity of motherhood!
