...Folly Beach 2016...

...we are here...
...so...it's that time of year again...

...right on the heels of my Birthday...we head to the beach...

...this year's beach of choice...Folly Beach...interesting history here...

  1. Folly Beach looks a lovely place for a holiday and the verandah is very cute.

    The history is interesting, especially the part 'Folly became a melting pot for the regular folks and temporary camps became permanent camps, became cottages.' There are several coastal areas in the UK, I know places on the Sussex coast and the Essex coast for two. People were able to buy small plots of land very cheaply. They started with tents and as on Folly Island the cottages followed. Near me is the Witterings where there is a 'cottage' made from three very old railway carriages, quite charming and fascinating to see.
