...Nashville Sightseeing...

...the very first thing we wanted to see was the old Ryman Auditorium...
...so we headed downtown...
...and found the Birthplace of Bluegrass...
...there were quite a few photo ops...(I am such a dork...and Scout is so good-natured about it)
...so we followed the sign...to "Tour the Ryman"...
...this would have been the main entrance a long time ago...
...but we headed to the 'back'...for the front of the auditorium...
...and bought our tickets...
...we watched a short film before the tour...
...more dorkiness on my part...and more good-naturedliness on Scout's part...
...the old timey stage...
...I actually took about 100 photos...but I'll spare you...
...I just loved all of the architectural detail of the old building...
...and there were tons of cases like this one with clothing/costumes worn by the performers...
...lots of reading is involved...with a paragraph or so per item...it was all fun and interesting though...
...then we headed out for a daytime tour of Broadway...A.K.A. Honky Tonk Row...
...it was crowded and fun...lots of music...and people...and I'm sure it's much more impressive at night...
...then we headed back to the hotel for a nice workout...(Scout anyway)...I'm sitting by the pool knitting...
...and a swim...I remember when we used to plan our trips we always made sure there was a hotel pool for Scout...it's so fun and relaxing after a long day of traveling...or sightseeing as the case may be...

...what's your favorite thing to see in a new city?...

~Have a lovely day!
